Jason Tucker
Raised in the Philadelphia area, I attended Germantown Friends School and returned to Philadelphia after college to get my law degree at Temple University. My hopefulness about Philadelphia led me to join Young Involved Philadelphia, where I became a board member while working in law and real estate. I have worked with the Committee of 70 and other organizations to increase civic engagement amongst Philadelphia’s young, disengaged, and disenfranchised populations. I see so much potential in this city’s future, but I also see special interests taking precedence over strategy. I see a city that fails to execute on the promise of its talented and passionate citizens. I see a city that talks about affordable housing but doesn’t take the steps necessary to produce true partnerships with developers to deliver housing to the thousands who urgently need it.
My wife and I now have two young children. We are committed to the city of Philadelphia and the Greater Philadelphia region. I am excited about building a movement of similarly committed people to lift this city and its people up.
