“Could We Cut Philly Shootings by … up to 93%?”

“The city could be much better at reducing violence … by teaming up with nature,” writes Charles Ellison in the Philadelphia Citizen. Ellison is host of WURD radio’s Reality Check and a board member of A Greater Philadelphia. Research shows that cleaning up trash, adding trees and green space and other improvements to a neighborhood’s outdoor spaces contributes to a reduction in crime.
